Don´t miss this opportunity to buy at a very reduced price a large flat in los Realejos, the north of Tenerife.

The flat comprises 3 large bedrooms, all fully fitted and furnished, 2 bathrooms, large living area, separate kitchen brand new with the best quality appliances, balcony and interior patio that can be used for a washing machine.

The main bedroom is very large and light, with a window that opens onto the balcony, with a very pretty view of the sea. The second bedroom straight off the living room faces the interior patio, but is also very light and airy. It’s decorated to high standards with a fitted wardrobe. And finally the third bedroom is at the end of the corridor, it also benefits from a lot of light and has a spacious fitted wardrobe. The bedrooms are all large and fully furnished.

The main bathroom is complete with a bath, bidet, and a sink stand furniture for extra storage.

The other bath is a separate toilet with a sink, perfect for a large family. Both bathrooms have been totally renovated and redecorated.

The living space is very large and bright, it connects with the corridor that goes to the bedroom, the kitchen entrance and at the back end is the beautiful balcony with amazing sea views.

The kitchen is completely new, it has been just fitted. The result is amazing as you can see in the photos. All new units and doors, as well as new tiles, floor, ceiling, lamp, lights and appliances. Off the kitchen is a room to use as storage and to have a washer and dryer.

The kitchen benefits from a lot of light thanks to a glass brick wall that it has being fitted to maximize the light coming from the living room, the result is beautiful.

The building is 30 years old but very well maintained (the flat has been completely re-wired during the renovation). It has a new lift and right in front there is a beautiful park called Parque García Estrada where you can have walks or simply sit and enjoy the views and the sunshine.

The building also benefits from having two entrances we can use. The main entrance is at the Puerto Franco road, but if we take the lift to the 5th floor we can go out the back way that takes us straight into the middle of San Agustín, a large shopping area where you can find everything: banks, butchers, all kinds of shops, taxi, supermarkets… So close to your door step that makes it very convenient.

The windows and doors of the flat, inside and outside are made of solid wood. The flat comes fully fitted and it has recently been totally renovated (end of 2011).

Not all reviews are always good and this is one of them. The Blue Marlin Restaurant in Costa Adeje in the south of Tenerife has everything to be the perfect place, except for good food and drinks.

Costa Adeje in the south of Tenerife is a very desireble area, always good weather, sunshine, fantastic beaches and lovely views from pretty much every where.

The Blue Marlin Restaurant is one of those right in front of the sea. Right by the beach of La Pinta in Costa Adeje. The place is beautiful and the installations of the restaurant are OK, but the food is simply awful. I was there two weeks ago with my husband and our children. I ordered what I thought it was a fantastic salad called :”Fantasía del Mar”. In the menu they said this was “particularily excellent quality”. The truth is that the salad came in a rather large plate, with a couple of lettuce leaves, two big pieces of tomatoes, two peeled prawns, a little bit and tuna and a couple of black olives with the pips, and NO DRESSING. It was really dissapointing food. Also if I reveal that they charge me 8.80€ for that.

Not only that, the saussages that I ordered for my little son tasted like dog food. The garlic bread was also very plain and expensive and the drinks seems to come all out of a barrill, for the beer that would be Ok, but the pop like the lemonade I ordered seem to come from a barrill too.

I must say that this was a very dissaponinting experience eating out in the south of Tenerife. There are here in Tenerife some really good places to eat, but we wanted to try somewhere different and I must say it did not go well.

In the north of the island of Tenerife there are uncountable gorgeous places to eat all different kinds of food, from traditional canarian to delicious thai food. The south of Tenerife we are exploring more to get to know better

In Spain, in the Canary Islands, we found the town of La Orotava, which is northwest of the island of Tenerife with 207.31 square km is the largest municipality Tenerife, where there is more population in La Orotava or “Villa” as it is called by its residents and neighbors, but is also shared by other areas such as La Perdoma, SanAntonio, Benijos, Barroso, Florida, and Aguamansa Pinoleris.
It is believed that the name of La Orotava, was released by the Guanches formerly calledArautava or Arautapala that area, although no one knows their exact origin. The Guanches that lived in La Orotava, they did on their shores, in the larger ravines and slopes
where it was easier to get food and means to survive.
La Orotava takes great care in his appearance, especially during the holidays, the streets are decorated in a special form which also kept the town pretty neat.
Some monuments and attractions of La Orotava are:
The church of La Concepción, a national monument, was built in the mid XVIII. The church of San Juan Bautista, located in the neighborhood of Farrobo, in the Village of Above, the hospital of the Holy Trinity and Church of San Francisco, church and former convent of Santo Domingo de Guzmán etc. ..
We also find historic houses such as La Orotava, the home of the balconies of Lercaro, Monteverde, Ponte and Franchy etc. .. are a typical old houses and mansions.
Some are devoted to events even in some of them are small hermitages.
In La Orotava find mills, where they were dedicated and some of them still working to make the grinding gofio CEREAL, have come to count up to 13 mills of which still exist 10 and 3 continue to work with relatively modern technology.
In La Orotava is important to make a stop at the Liceo Taoro (ex falnasterio of Taoro) with its impressive gardens to come today as various events take place like weddings, meetings, etc … take a stroll through the Plaza de la Constitution known to slum dwellers, ”Plaza kiosk, kiosk by the popular” Anita “, enjoy the gardens of the Marquis of the Quinta Roja or “Victoria Gardens” which is the pantheon of Don Diego de Ponte Marquis de la Quinta Roja, which was built by her mother Dona Sebastiana de Castillo.
The town of Orotava in Tenerife is form in stepped down slope, crossed by roads. These roads are design drawing in representation of energy channels and chakras of Eastern culture.
Several beaches such as the beach Bollullo, the Patos and Ancon are not very easy to get to. But they are beautiful beaches are steep because of their location.
La Orotava is well known for its Corpus Christy and the celebration of San Isidro Labrador. In Corpus Christy they draw in the floor religious motifs and painted with flower petals and colour sand, they called it “alfombras” (rugs). Also they have a dance party where all participants enjoy attending with their traditional Canarian costumes.

El Teide in the Canary Islands, specifically on the island of Tenerife, measures 3,718 meters above sea level, is the highest peak in Spain and the third largest volcano on earth, the Teide National Park was declared a heritage humanity and nature is the most emblematic monument of the Canary Islands.
Teide National Park is visited by tourists in Spain, Europe and the second most visited park in the world.
As the story goes, believed that the Guanches lived in Teide Guayota malignant figure, who harbored the evil force, which had kidnapped Magec, who was the god of light and the sun, and had him locked in the interior del Teide. The Guanches you asked your Achaman God to release him, and that he got beat Magec getting through the crater, and placed a cap, called the plug you put Achaman sugar loaf, which is the last cone crowning the Teide whitish color, the Guanches called the Teide Echeide which means hell.
150,000 years ago there were eruptions that produced the highlight of the island, it was still higher than a volcano Mount Teide, of which there are several theories of how it disappeared, the first is that this peak is split and slid down the north side of the island to the sea and the second one was a collapse, forming the Cañadas del Teide and our current Teide volcano was formed by successive volcanic eruptions.
El Teide is made virtually basaltic materials and on its surface as salic evolved phonolitic trachytes and, at the base of Teide find White Mountain or Mountain Majua found in the amount of pumice or gravel, the Guanches of the Teide drew materialsedged weapons and build ice caves, also extracted sulfur from the crater.
We found a great diversity of fauna and flora that is adapted to the altitude, such as purple, thistle, boil hutch, mosses, and animals are the long-eared bat, lizard finch Algerian hedgehog, rabbit or sheep etc. ..
The Teide is a shelter called the shelter Altavista Mountain, also has a cable car that ascends from the skirt to the Rambleta in a few minutes. Access to the summit is prohibited even with a special permit may be allowed a visit.
This volcano canary everyone who visits is astonished by his imposing height and its wonderful natural landscapes in winter playground for families and tourists, allowing us to enjoy the snowy landscape.
Mount Teide or, in Spanish, Pico del Teide , is the highest elevation in Spain and the islands of the Atlantic (it is the third largest volcano in the world from its base, after Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea located in Hawaii). It is an active volcano which last erupted in 1909 from the El Chinyero vent on the Santiago (northwestern) rift and is located on Tenerife, Canary Islands. The volcano and its surroundings comprise the Teide National Park (Parque Nacional del Teide in Spanish). The park has an area of 18900 hectares and was named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO on June 29, 2007. Since the end of 2007, it has also been one of the Twelve Treasures of Spain. Midway up the mountain are the telescopes of the Observatorio del Teide. Territorially it belongs, for the most part, to the municipality of La Orotava, including also Icod de los Vinos, Los Realejos, Guía de Isora and ten more.
Teide is the most visited National Park in the Canary Islands and Spain, with a total of 2.8 million visitors, according to the Instituto Canario de Estadística (ISTAC). According to data for 2004, with its 3.5 million visitors annually, this volcanic landscape receives a large number of international visitors, second only to Mount Fuji in Japan. In 2010, Teide became the most visited national park in Europe and second worldwide. Teide is the most famous natural landmark in Tenerife and the Canary Islands.
Teide is a stratovolcano. At 3718 m above sea level, and approximately 7500 m above the floor of the Atlantic Ocean, it is the highest mountain in Spain, highest point in the Atlantic Ocean and the 13th highest mountain in the European Union excluding the Alps. (Note: The actual summit stands 3 metres (10 ft) higher than the triangulation station, and associated bench mark, which has an altitude of 3,715 m (12,188 ft)). The island of Tenerife itself is the third largest volcanic ocean island on Earth by volume. Teide is also the third highest volcano on a volcanic ocean island. It is also unstable and possibly in a more advanced stage of deformation and failure than the much publicised Cumbre Vieja. The United Nations Committee for Disaster Mitigation designated Teide as a Decade Volcano, because of its history of destructive eruptions and its proximity to several large towns, of which the closest are Garachico, Icod de los Vinos and Puerto de la Cruz.
