Villa de Arafo is a town located in the Southeast of the island of Tenerife, in a valley that takes the name of the bordering municipality, the Valley of Güímar, with which he limits by the South, in addition makes by the north with the municipal term to Candelaria and by the west with Santa Ursula and the Orotava.

The population of Arafo is concentrated in a ninety percent in urban center, Barrio del Carmen and Barrio del Fielato.The coast of Arafo is formed by a low and rocky beach, it is worth mention the Beach of Lima.

This beach also gives name to one of its villages. About one hundred twenty meters above sea level we have the village of El Carretón, and around 200 meters above sea level there is the village of Hidalga,
The town of Arafo has a very calm and clean atmosphere, in which the grapevine predominates, that produces the excellent wines of Arafo. Here we can also see very many fruit trees and great variety of flowers.

Arafo has a great musical and cultural tradition, their musical local band is very well known.

This musical tradition begins in the middle of XIX Century, with the creation of the first band, the Music Band Numancia, later on their changed the name of the band to Sociedad Filarmónica La Nivaria, at the moment exists in the town the Band “La Candelaria ”.

But the musical activity in the town is not only limited to the bands, also there are several chorales and musical groupings of prestige, among them we emphasized: the Chorale “Maria Auxiliadora”, the folkloric grouping “Ayesa”, “Aires de Arafo”, the lírica grouping “Ayesa”, etc.

This town is located in the southwest of the island of Tenerife; bordering by the east with the town of Arona and by the north with Guía of Isora.

Adeje that had been dedicated to agriculture in individual, the plantation of the tomato and bananas in particular, at the moment is one of the most important tourist cities of the island.

Under the denomination of Costa Adeje it has been created a tourist image that has a very good reputation in all the forums and international fairs of tourism of the world.

A series of new tourist urbanizations of first class has been created like San Eugenio, Fañabé, Playas del Duque and the Beril among others.

We must make special mention of the Great Hotel Bahía del Duque, which belongs to the Meliá Hotels Group.

The hotel Bahía del Duque has rejuvenated the coast creating a group of towns that conform the hotel. You must visit it, since they organize guided visits.

Around nine hundred meters above sea level there are the districts of Tijoco and Taucho, that conserve traditional way of life and architecture. In Taucho, a national championship of paragliding was celebrated.
About 1000 meters of altitude is the district of Ifonche, close to Arona.
This town not just the traditional sun and beaches tourism , but also rural places to explore walking or by car, rural lodges and houses are also offered as accommodation.

Arona is located to the south of the island and is dedicated mainly to the tourism.

Its pleasant climate throughout the year, with temperatures around the 20 degrees attracts tourists of all parts of the world. It has of best beaches of the island. Among them we can emphasize the beach of America, las Galletas, the Cristianos beach, Playa Las Vistas, the Arenita, the Callao, the Whale, the Nightgown, etc.

And as in all the platanera occurs, and the tomatoes.

Arico is located in the Southeastern of the island of Tenerife, limits by the northwest with La Orotava, concretely with the National Park of the Cañadas Teide, by the northeast with Fasnia, and the southwest with Granadilla.

The climate and orography of Arico are very similar to the neighboring towns of Fasnia and Güímar.
It has like them a territory very escarped who go from the Cañadas del Teide, zone that surpasses the 2000 meters above sea level, until the coast. In this land so escarped it is possible to cultivate almost anything. Fruit trees, grapevine, bananas, potatoes, several tropical fruits, but in special, tomatos and bananas. Arico is one of the biggest towns of the island, with 178 square kilometers of total surface and 58 kilometers approximately from Santa Cruz de Tenerife. We can distinguish differentiated population centers as they are Arico el Viejo, Arico el Nuevo, Villa Arico and el Río.

In this town, several small villages are differentiated. Thus the Small village of Icor, near Villa de Arico, has a very traditional architecture of the island.   Buenavista is the town at the northwest of the island. Most of their territory, almost a 85 percent, is catalogued like natural space by law, Conservation areas of Spain.
The majority of these Conservation Areas of Buenavista is the Rural Park of Teno, space of matchless beauty that for that reason the conquerors called this town Buenavista (Good View).

The park of Teno in Buenavista has very pronounced cliffs that along with the plains that surround them and beaches that offer a great tonalities of colors, that go from the turquoise to green, yellow. It is surprising all of these, due to the great variety of seaweed .

The coast of Buenavista has small earth coves , which give us an ideal place for the rest. We must mention that it has a series of small villages that we must visit between we have: Masca, the Palmar, the Portelas, Teno Alto.
A special mention must be Masca , one of the few small villages that are conserved as they were formerly the small villages in the Canary Islands. Mainly because the difficulty to access this town, there was only a single street called Way of the Guanches.

The house of the Avinculados is one of the oldest and best conserved in the area, along with a small church that dates from century XVIII. There is also a small museum that we can visit. It is advisable to go to the Palmar, the Portelas and Teno Alto, all these small villages represent the typical and the traditional thing of our earth. We can also enjoy the best canarian cucine and wine in a great amount of bars and restaurants in this area of Buenavista, all very good price and the best quality.

The sun is our main gift, even in the winter we enjoy beautiful sunny days, where in the south of the island is hot enough to enjoy the pool or the magnificent beaches. The holiday resorces have heated pools for those that want to get some lovely winter sun in Tenerife and want to enjoy the water like if it was August.

Tenerife has their own car hire companies, but is easy to find as well big international companies like Herts, Avis …

The main locations where we can rent a car are: Both airports the South Tenerife "Reina Sofía" and in the one of North the Tenerife "Los Rodeos". In the Wharf of Santa Cruz, the Wharf of Los Cristianos, capital Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in Puerto de la Cruz, Los Realejos, Orotava, the tourist centers of Las Américas y los Cristianos, in Arona, Adeje, Güímar, Candelaria, and practically in all the touristic towns of Tenerife.

In order to rent a car we needed to have uptodate driving licence that are valued in the European Community, and pay the price established by the car hire company.

 
There are many other luxurious golf courses in the north of Tenerife, in Guamasa, in La Laguna and in Buenavista del Norte.

The golf course called "Los Palos" was opened in December 1994. Los Palos was designed by José María Olazábal´s company, Integral Golf Design, and is located in an easily accessible area of Tenerife, not far from the motorway. This golf course is 914 meters and there are plenty of challenges to be encountered, is small but very interesting. The Golf Course Los Palos is located in the south of the island, in the municipality of Arona, counts on a field of 9 holes, pair 27, in where it predominates an abundant vegetation and obstacles of water (lakes and brooks). And only five minutes from Playa de la Américas and Los Cristianos, where temperatures are pleasant all year round.

Near the north airport we can find the Real Club de Golf Tenerife. Founded on 1932, it is the second older golf club of Spain and still conserves an air of typically British distinction. Is located about 600 meters above sea level and counts on 18 holes of waved streets that ascend in front of a spectacular view of Teide. The precipices enter game in several holes. The hole number 4 are one of the most difficult, demanding to locate yourself in green in a second blow, with outside limits to the left and unevennesses to the right.
